Intuitive Photography
Miroslav Buriánek (b. 1951) is a radio director and documentarist. He is fascinated by the visual world and by the visible imprint of existence in space and time. He looks at the world through a camera viewfinder, takes photos everywhere and exhibits them occasionally.
In this documentary, he examines not only himself as a man who almost obsessively takes pictures with his mobile phone but especially photographers, both professional and amateur, including his grandsons.
Where does the desire to capture “this very moment” come from? How to describe the feeling of being connected to the situation going on “right now” – to the image that has just appeared? What can photography mean to its creator? How much does it say about himself now or years later? How to touch reality with a camera and express an image with sound?
